Once again, “Zone Interdite” has caused a lot of ink to flow. This Sunday, January 15, 2023, M6 broadcast a new issue of its flagship program. A number dedicated to “scandalous excesses of aesthetic medicine”. Challenged by the new practices brought to light by the report, Dr Gérald Kierzek immediately took to his social networks in order to be indignant about the forgotten values of certain practitioners. “#ZoneInterdite surgical procedures filmed and broadcast on social networks. Americanization in progress… what does the @ordre_medecins think? ? Either we have to reform the code of ethics (advertising…), or we have to sanction but status quo impossible”, he wrote on his Twitter account. A post that elicited strong reactions.

Shocked by the images, Internet users were numerous to bounce back from the words of the famous doctor. “I can’t believe that in France, the @Sante_Gouv authorizes doctors to use social networks to advertise and entice patients! How can this ethics of medicine allow this? How? #ZoneInterdite”, “The order is far too busy punishing doctors who treat and not defending those suspended”, “In the meantime there are plenty of doctors who are getting into aesthetics, they have clearly understood that it works and only impressionable girls pay for syringes of hyaluronic acid. They also take advantage of it quite a bit…”, “Not to mention the business that is developing around the rooms where the images are projected…”, “All doctors are obsessed with money, let’s not be hypocritical. They are all baited by the business. How honest are they. We live in a society where the physical is essential. Obese or different people are banned from French media., could we read in the comments. A shock sequence.
