Court documents consulted by the newspaper confirm that Noah Corson was arrested a year ago, on December 21, 2021, at Dorval airport while returning to the country.

A warrant for his arrest was issued after he failed to appear in court in October 2021 to appear in this new case.

Corson reportedly broke his bail conditions on August 29, 2021 by coming into contact with the other defendants in his sexual assault case. He had previously agreed not to come into contact with the two other young men, who pleaded guilty to sexual assault, including one who was his teammate with the Voltigeurs de Drummondville.

These two other people were minors at the time of the events in 2016 and therefore cannot be identified.

The complainant in this case was also a minor.

gang rape

Recall that the hockey player, son of former Canadiens Shayne Corson, is accused of sexual assault for acts that date back to 2016. Radio-Canada reported in mid-December the details of an evening that would have started in a restaurant of Drummondville where there was Noah Corson, an underage teammate of the Voltigeurs, a third underage young man and the alleged victim, 15 years old.

After leaving the restaurant, the evening would have moved to the young woman’s house and it was there that the sexual advances began, leading to a group sex act on the young complainant, who had not consented.

Footage of the assault was captured by one of the defendants.

The two young minors pleaded guilty last year in juvenile court, but Noah Corson pleaded not guilty.

Continuation in 2023

He is due back in court in June 2023 in his sexual assault case. As for the breach of condition case cited above, it must return to court on February 8 at the Quebec City courthouse. Corson also pleaded not guilty to this additional charge.

The 24-year-old athlete announced after the media coverage of the file to withdraw from the world of hockey for the current season, he who played with the Adirondack Thunder, in the ECHL.
