(New York) The price of a barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI), the main American reference variety, closed on Wednesday down 3.01%, after falling, a few minutes earlier, to its lowest level in the year.
WTI for January delivery, the most traded contract on the Chicago Stock Exchange, fell to 71.75 dollars, before ending at 72.01 dollars.
