Should the Parti Québécois form a parallel government by bringing in former PQ ministers to make the voices of the 14.6% of citizens who gave it their support and confidence heard? Paul St-Pierre Plamondon was the only one to demonstrate what a new way of doing politics could be, with intelligence, honesty, respect and refusal to buy votes by returning millions of dollars from Quebecers’ taxes. I deplore the underhanded way in which the head or deputy head of Québec solidaire failed Mr. Plamondon, forcing him to beg for our place in the sun. My hope in Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois as a renewal candidate was immensely disappointed. Rather, the young politician turned out to be a supporter of the old revenge politics. Shame ! When a large section of society cannot be represented in the National Assembly, among other things for lack of a single elected representative, how can we speak of democracy? As for François Legault, the ego does not fail him. Could we ask for better?
