For his issue of November 13, 2022 on France 2 of the program 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Laurent Delahousse initially received chef Alain Ducasse, the philosopher and granddaughter of Louis de Funès, Julia de Funès, and the singer Michel Sardo. The latter returned to his return to the stage in 2023, when he had said goodbye in 2018. Without filter, he thus explained his desires, to find his audience that he loves so much, and the click made by his wife Anne -Marie Perier. His brother-in-law Jean-Marie Périer, for his part, supported the approach of the artist, criticized for a comeback supposedly motivated by money. On the set of the second channel, he also reacted to French society, displaying his positions even if it meant displeasing.
After an archive sequence of a “politically incorrect” Bernard Loiseau, Laurent Delahousse questions his guests about the idea of ”it was better before”. Alain Ducasse and Julia de Funès agree that one can be nostalgic without falling into a reactionary attitude. Michel Sardou bounces back: “I have good memories but it was as bad before as today. There were strikes, there was war, there were money problems, there was everything.” Then, true to his outspokenness, he launches: “We weren’t bored on the highways, I must say that we could drive at the speed we wanted. There weren’t the scooters that really broke us, and there weren’t the bikes that I can’t stand. Here, they burn all the red lights, the next I do it.“The presenter chooses not to bounce on these words and quickly moves on to the next guest, Cerrone.
The divisive reactions on Twitter are not long in coming, however. If some are delighted with the honesty of the 75-year-old artist, the comments of Internet users often show indignation. “Michel Sardou is so embarrassing on the set of the JT from 8:30 p.m. on Sunday and who threatens to pepouze the next cyclist he meets to ‘do it to himself'”, @PetwitHom will say. “Threats from #MichelSardou against cyclists live at Laurent Delahousse on France2 tv. Quiet. @justice_gouv, we remain without doing anything in the face of incitement to violence? (Article R623-1 of the Penal Code)”, writes @AVeloDansParis. “So say @France2tv, in your 8 p.m., your guest #michelSardou declares ‘I can’t stand cyclists, they run red lights, the next one, I’m going to do it myself’… And it passes cream… Everything is fine“, says @fleloch.
intense preparation
We can imagine that the interpreter of I will love you will not be burdened with shocked reactions and continue to prepare for his big comeback on stage. With diet, physical exercises and work on his voice as he explained on France 2: “It starts with the diet already, I who am a big eater I watch my plate it’s a divine punishment […] What made me what I have become is that I have a great voice. However, with age obviously it drops, you gain in bass what you lose in treble. So I’m reworking the voice.“
