The French Rugby Federation (FFR) communicated, Wednesday, November 9, the composition of the XV of France which will face Canada during the match for the third place of the Rugby World Cup 2022, Saturday at 4:30 am, at Eden Park from Auckland. The Assia pillar Khalfaoui (21 years old, 9 selections) thus replaces Clara Joyeux (24 years old, 36 selections), who was the holder during the semi-final lost to New Zealand (25-24) last weekend.
The fourteen other players will be renewed by the French coach, Thomas Darracq, while the hooker Laure Touyé and the rear Jessy Trémoulière, will settle on the bench, instead of Coco Lindelauf, package due to injury, and Lina Queyroi.
The second line Céline Ferer (31 years old, 59 caps) and the third line Marjorie Mayans (31 years old, 52 caps) will play their last international meeting against the Canadians on Saturday. The objective for the XV of France will be to win a seventh bronze medal, after those of the 1991, 1994, 2002, 2006, 2014 and 2017 World Cups.
