Ed Sheeran revealed in a video posted on Instagram that he will be releasing a new album next year.

The singer made the announcement in a post highlighting the fact that his song Shivers reached the milestone of one billion streams on Spotify. This is his 11e song as a performer and his 15e as a songwriter to cross that mark,” he said.
“I’m going to celebrate by shooting a music video for my brand new album coming out next year,” he added, with a smile.
No additional information is available about the upcoming disc, but the magazine Billboard speculates that, if Ed Sheeran continues to play with mathematical formulas, it could very well be titled – (subtraction sign) since its precedents use the signs + (more), x (multiplication), ÷ (divide) and = (equal).
