A criminal investigation was opened by the prosecution of Châlons-en-Champagne (Marne) “for aggravated murder, by the spouse or the partner of the victim” after the discovery Wednesday, November 2, in Neuvy, of the bodies of a woman, 60 years old, and her husband of about 70 years old, who died by firearm in their home.
The bodies were found in two different rooms of their residence. Their death “would have taken place between November 1 in the afternoon and November 2 in the morning”, says the floor. The man was in possession of a rifle which was seized and had left a farewell note for his children in which he talks about “cheating and lying women”.
The investigation was entrusted to the research brigade of the gendarmerie of Epernay. Neither had a criminal record and no prior violence had been reported.
