Posted at 7:07 p.m.
The Sûreté du Québec police officers were called to the scene of the accident around 5:15 p.m. “The two occupants who were in the aircraft were injured, but we would not fear for their lives”, said SQ spokeswoman Hélène St-Pierre.
No other person was injured. The aircraft also hit a utility pole during its fall. For the moment, the Hydro-Québec website does not report any power outages in the area.
The four lanes of Route 117 at kilometer 594 are currently closed to traffic. There does not seem to be any detour erected, the sector should therefore be avoided.
An investigation is underway.
