National Assembly: the government should use 49.3 to vote the budget

“Indeed, Elisabeth Borne should, this afternoon, trigger 49.3 to have the 2023 budget adopted without a vote”explains Christophe Gascard, live from the National Assembly, Wednesday, October 19. The question concerns above all the amendments that will be adopted by the government. “Out of more than 3,400 tabled by all the parliamentary groups, 80 to 100 amendments should be retained in the final text”continues the journalist.

Several amendments will be reworked or rejected, but that of the Modem on the taxation of superdividends will not be included. However, it had been adopted by the left, by the RN and by about twenty deputies of the majority. “The Nupes and the National Rally should, in the process, file a motion of censure to bring down the government”concludes the journalist. This option is unlikely, since some of the deputies of the Nudes will not vote for the motion of censure of the RNand vice versa.
