The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) speaks of a suspicious death, while the inanimate body was found in the suitcase of the vehicle, specifies the agent Jean-Pierre Brabant.
The fire occurred Sunday evening around 9 p.m. on rue Versailles, near rue Saint-Antoine, not far from the Lucien-L’Allier station.
The SPVM erected a security perimeter around the vehicle and, in the middle of the night, rue Versailles was closed between rue Saint-Jacques and rue Saint-Antoine.
The investigation was entrusted to the major crimes section of the SPVM which, assisted by arson investigators and forensic identification technicians, is trying to understand the circumstances of this event.
