Guests of the week
For the second year, France Bleu is Video Game Awards. The selection is made by our partner Canard PC, magazine and website dedicated to video games. To compete, the game must be qualitative, remarkable, developed or created by a French studio and released in 2022!
First game selected: “Steelrising”, developed by French studio Spiders.
The decor ? Paris in 1789 during the French Revolution. But forget everything you learned in history class. Here, popular effort is repressed by Louis XVI and… his army of automatons. And that’s where you, Aegis, come in! Masterpiece of the engineer Vaucanson and bodyguard of the queen, you must save the French Revolution.
The president of the Spiders studio, Jeanne Rousseau, is with us. Author of the game, she has plenty to tell about the job in the video game. Also with us, Ambroise from the editorial staff of Canard Pc to explain why this game is part of the selection of the France Bleu video game prize.
A bit of tech
Conferences, workshops and demonstrations… The Press Start video game festival returns to 10th edition from September 28 to October 3. This year “it is in music that you are invited to explore video game worlds again! Because video game music is not only a matter of soundtrack, it is a whole experience, even a gameplay element in its own right”.
Created in 2013, the ambition of this festival is to promote and elevate video games to the rank of legitimate culture in all its forms. An initiative devised by the public information library at the Pompidou Center in Paris. We talk about it with Emilie Fissier, the head of the new generation service.
In the news of the week
Cédric Ruiz returns to the big file that made Twitter vibrate. On September 18, a hacker claimed unauthorized distribution exclusive images of the next Rockstar game, GTA 6.
“Teapotuberhacker”, the virtual name of this Internet user, posted nearly a hundred videos on several social networks including YouTube or Twitter. These would all come from GTA 6 according to him.
