The Gironde fire, which ravaged more than 3,600 hectares of vegetation, has been fixed. Residents are returning to their homes.

Of his equipment, his stocks and his work, all that remains for this professional fisherman is a heap mixed with scrap metal. “Before, it was fishing equipment, freezer rooms, cold rooms, trailers, boat doors, cars”laments Christian Duniaud.
Monday evening, September 12, in just a few minutes, everything went up in flames. Taken by surprise, the fisherman, his wife and a friend dive into his pool. He then managed to save his house with the means at hand. A few steps away, other piles of ashes lie. There is nothing left of the cubic meters of wood from a sawmill. Fortunately, the majority of the 1,800 evacuees were able to find their homes intact.
