“Together for the autonomy” of the elderly

The CNSA or national solidarity fund for autonomy, is organizing its fifth information campaign “Together for autonomy”, to support the elderly and their loved ones.

The law of August 7, 2020 created a fifth branch of Social Security, dedicated to loss of autonomy. The National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA) has been entrusted with the management, animation and coordination.

This information campaign responds to three concerns of seniors or their loved ones:
– How can I be helped at home to maintain my independence?
– How to live in a more secure “home”?
– As a caregiver, how can I benefit from help and support?

The CNSA is a public establishment, created by the law of June 30, 2004, relating to solidarity for the autonomy of the elderly and the disabled.

Its missions have been updated by article 32 of the social security financing law for 2021 as well as by the ordinance of 1 December 2021 relating to the implementation of the creation of the fifth branch of the general system of the social security relating to autonomy.

The CNSA is responsible for ensuring the financial balance of the 5th branch, for which it draws up the accounts, for steering and ensuring the animation and coordination of the actors involved in the implementation of policies to support the autonomy of the elderly. and people with disabilities. It participates in the financing of aid for dependent elderly people and people with disabilities.

It contributes to the information of the elderly, disabled people and their caregivers, it also contributes to research and innovation in the field of support for the autonomy of the elderly and disabled people; forward thinking on autonomy policies; the attractiveness of professions contributing to the accompaniment and support for the autonomy of the elderly and people with disabilities.

The CNSA is therefore both a “fund” responsible for allocating financial resources and a technical support “agency”.
