The outbreak of violence in Montreal moved Friday night to Little Italy, with a series of gunfire in the neighborhood park.
The incident took place around 10:45 p.m. in Dante Park, at the corner of Dante Street and De Gaspé Avenue. Upon their arrival, police officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) found several casings on the ground. However, the participants of the event, suspects and injured, fled.
The scene was protected for investigators and forensic identification technicians to do their job. The canine unit was also requested at the scene.
