It was the day after for the Castelroussins. The day after the transfer window, and the striking departures of Thomas Robinet and Siriné Doucouré. Deprived of their two triggers, and not yet reinforced by their last minute recruitsthe Berrichons still won at Puy-en-Velay.
Romain Grange, again and again
And as in Avranches on the second day, the big guy on the blue and red side is called Roman Barn. Back after a cruciate ligament rupture, the experienced midfielder (34) seems to have lost none of his talent.
After a poor first period, Le Puy opened the scoring shortly before the hour mark, thanks to Ottman Dadoune (59′). La Berri replied a few minutes later, with a cross from Romain Grange deflected by Nolan Roux (63′). The goal was also granted to Grange by the official Twitter account of the National Championship. But by the admission of the midfielder himself, it is Nolan Roux who is the author. Grange then converted a penalty late in the game (83′).
A success despite a diminished attack which allows Châteauroux to remain undefeated after four days. With two wins and two draws, the Berri currently ranks 3rd, one point behind Dunkirk and Avranches.
To complete the happiness of their supporters, the Castelroussins only have to open their home victory counter. They will have a chance to do so on Friday September 9, against Bourg-en-Bresse.
