The 26th edition of the Tour du Périgord takes place this Sunday in Sarlat

This Sunday starts the 26ᵉ edition of the Tour du Périgord, organized by the Vélo Club de Montpazier. The 149 kilometer race has eleven loops, 19 clubs participate. This race was launched in 1986 then interrupted in 1990 before being reborn in 2001. Many cycling champions have participated in this race such as Laurent Jalabert, Thibault Pinot or even Romain Bardet. This amateur cycling race begins at 1:15 p.m. with a scheduled arrival at 5 p.m. The award ceremony will take place immediately after.

Departure and arrival will take place Place Pasteur in Sarlat, to watch the race, you can also go to the top of the Croix d’Allon hill, the main difficulty of the course. It is possible to go down to the finish line before the final passage of the runners. The organization hopes that spectators will play the game and buy the program for two euros.
