The Distiller’s House
La Maison du Distillateur, the first museum space on eaux-de-vie and Alsatian whiskey, was designed to transmit the passion for the profession of distiller. At the origin of this adventure is the Meyer family, distillers from father to son since 1958.
The museum retraces the journey of three generations of distillers, giving pride of place to the exceptional setting offered by the Val de Villé for these craftsmen. Alsatian gastronomy is also honored there and there are many references to the regional gourmet heritage. Finally, the technical aspects of the production of whiskeys and eaux-de-vie are explained in a fun way.
Finally, to end on a festive note, visitors are invited to taste a selection of products. Whiskies, brandies, liqueurs and aperitifs can be tasted.
The boutique part of La Maison du Distillateur will delight the most gourmet with its many local souvenirs to take home.
