Emergency services were called around 1:20 a.m. Saturday to a person who was struck by multiple vehicles.
“The Sûreté du Québec investigation services are currently examining a collision with a pedestrian” on Highway 20 East, confirmed Sergeant Hugues Beaulieu, information officer for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). He later indicated that the collision took place at kilometer 57 in Dorval and not in Lachine, as previously reported.
“It is still nebulous at the level of the circumstances. Why was the pedestrian on the freeway? Anyway, he was still hit by several vehicles,” Sergeant Beaulieu said.
“He was transported to a hospital center, where he was declared dead,” he added.
The SQ investigation is continuing.
