According to information provided by the Sûreté du Québec, officers from the MRC de Rouville station were called to go to the Rang Papineau sector, in Saint-Paul-d’Abbotsford, to rescue a device in distress.

The small plane would be an ultra light motorized one. The aircraft would have found itself in difficulty and would have attempted an emergency landing in a field.

However, the impact on the ground was brutal enough to cause serious injuries to the two men on board. Both individuals were taken to hospital. We are talking about a young man in his twenties and an older man who is between life and death.

The help of the firefighters was notably necessary to extricate the victims trapped on board the carcass of the aircraft.

The SQ information officer, Laura Hervé, confirms that an investigation has been launched by the Transportation Safety Board in collaboration with the major crimes department of the Sûreté du Québec.
