Having become the head of this unique place where he grew up with his parents and his sisters, the singer had indeed wanted to give time to the President of the Republic who was able to discover all the facilities he takes care of in the village.
And in particular the school: created by Marie-Claire, the mother of Yannick Noah, it now welcomes more than 400 children who learn French and English, the two official languages of Cameroon. A real rendezvous for the artist, who also saw a bar and a country club appear in his village. “It was very different back then“, he had entrusted to a newspaper of Saône et Loire a few days ago on this subject.I grew up in the middle of the bush, I went to the river because there was no water or electricity. Over time, the city surrounded the village and it became a district of Yaoundé“.
A district that he was very proud, therefore, to introduce Emmanuel Macron, who came to Cameroon to “improve dialogue between Africans and Europeans“. He was also able to meet the next generation of the Noah clan, the young Joalukas, barely 18 years old and who had put on his best tuxedo to meet Brigitte Macron’s husband, with whom he was able to exchange a few words.
A meeting that made his parents very proud: on Instagram, Yannick Noah appeared alongside the last of his five children (he also has Joakim, 37, Yelena, 35, Eleejah, 26 and Jenaye, 25 previous marriages). Both in party clothes, they were superb and did not fail to be greeted by the mother of Joalukas, Isabelle Camus, separated from Yannick Noah for two years.
