Solidarity. This was the key word this Friday, July 15, to qualify the collaboration between the association Cardiac Surgery Sponsorship and several public figures, in order to help children who are victims of heart problems. On the program: a bike race entitled “Step of the heart”, about thirty kilometers between Le Bourg d’Oisans and Saint-Etienne.

The goal? “With the support of Saint-Etienne Métropole, these are 3 heart children who can be operated on for their heart defect at the end of Stage“said the association in a press release. Many stars have participated in this project, whether Paul Belmondo, the Miss France 2018 Maëva Coucke, Laurent Maistret, Claude Dartois and Dorian Louvet from Koh LantaDounia Coesens from the series More beautiful lifethe model Satya Oblette and Laurent-Eric Lelay, Director of France TV Sports. Not forgetting the cyclists Richard Virenque and Roger Legeay, journalist Sandy Héribert, boxer Sarah Ourahmoune and finally Charlotte Lembach, Olympic vice-champion in fencing.

Tour de France support

So many celebrities who wet the jersey to support the association Cardiac Surgery Patronage, which has been fighting since its creation in 1996 to “to allow children with heart defects and coming from underprivileged countries to have surgery in France when this is impossible at home due to lack of technical or financial means” can we read in the press release. Note that “nearly 4,000 children have already been taken care of since the creation of the Association in 1996 by Professor Francine Leca, the first female cardiac surgeon in France.

They were “hosted by volunteer host families and operated in nine hospitals in France (Angers, Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes, Marseille, Paris, Strasbourg, Toulouse and Tours)” specifies the MCC. This race was notably supported by the Tour de France. It should also be noted that the association recalls that “the general public can participate by making a donation on webdon.fr“. Congratulations to the participants for this magnificent initiative!
