the disarray of evacuated vacationers

In La Teste-de-Buch (Gironde), campers evacuated on Tuesday July 12 spent another night in a hangar in the city on Wednesday. At breakfast time on Thursday morning, some try to forget. “The problem is that we (…) had planned only one week this year. We arrived on Saturday, Tuesday it ended. While waiting to be able to return to the campsite, some read, others draw. A family from Lyon is about to leave the hangar, and will spend the night in a real bed. They go to Arcachon (Gironde), where a couple has volunteered with the town hall to welcome evacuated campers. An unexpected gesture for the family. “It’s great, we are welcomed with people, it’s heartwarming, we’ll feel like home”, rejoices the woman. “If I were in the same situation, I would like there to be people who would reach out to me”comments the host.
