Quebec reports Wednesday 11 new deaths attributed to COVID-19 and an increase in hospitalizations.
In all, 7,094 health care workers are currently absent for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal or isolation.
There were 1,797 hospitalizations related to COVID-19, an increase of 104 from the previous day. There were 43 people in intensive care, a decrease of six.
The Ministry of Health also reports 2164 new cases. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority groups.
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,116,831 infections have been reported, and 15,708 of them have been fatal.
A total of 248,984 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the platform put online by the government, including 207,001 positive.
