medical specialists come to fill the lack of personnel

In the Cahors hospital emergency room (Batch)it is a doctor who is not at all an emergency doctor who consults that morning. Anthony Merckx is an infectious disease specialist and for a month, like a dozen others doctors, he regularly leaves his service to do emergency duty. Without these good wishes, the Emergency Department of the largest hospital in the Lot would probably have had to close this summer. “I volunteered because I am in solidarity with the public hospital service and because I think that the people of Lot need an emergency service, it is fundamental”explains Dr. Antoine Merckxinfectiologist-reinforcement in the emergency room.

That morning, two of them came to fill the holes in the Emergency schedule: le young infectiologist and an intensive care doctor. Their doubts and experience differ. The infectiologist fears serious or emergency situations vital because he was not trained for that. the resuscitator, on the contraryse feels lost on the traumatologies. When in doubt, there is always an emergency doctor to turn to. All the services (diabetology, paediatrics, pneumatology…) who do not have a personnel problem lend a doctor.
