After blocking the ring road the previous weekend, near the Porte d’Italie, activists from the association Last Renovation reiterated, Saturday July 2, by settling at the Porte de Châtillon, to ask the government to vote “a law on global energy renovation”.
The activists cut off traffic around noon and sat in the roadway, dressed in fluorescent orange vests and carrying banners, until police intervened around 12:45 p.m. to dislodge them. Tensions erupted with motorists.

The militant group “demand a law which must fully incorporate the proposals of the Citizens’ Convention for the Climate concerning the renovation of buildings”. The association wishes in particular that all French buildings do “subject to global thermal renovation before 2040” and ask for the bet in place of a “simple and progressive financing system covering all the work for the most modest households”.
