Théo Curin at ease with girls: these ‘cute things’ that his disability brings to the relationship

It’s quite a challenge for the former swimming star Theo Curin by deciding to participate in the next edition of Beijing Express, where we will find many stars. Alongside Valérie Trierweiler, Inès Reg or even Rachel Legrain-Trapani, the 22-year-old young man agreed to participate with his agent, Anne. “I want to show that despite my handicap, I can have fun and be a real competitor”he said in an interview with Here today.

Handicapped since the age of 6 and suffering from lightning meningitis which required the amputation of his four limbs, Théo Curin has managed to fully accept his handicap and make it a real strength. Double silver medalist at the World Para Swimming Championships in the 100m and 200m freestyle, he has gained popularity and now combines the professions of actor and model. Alongside this busy professional life, the actor of the series Handigang lead a fulfilling love life. When asked if his disability can be a hindrance, the answer fuses: “Never! Over time, I gained confidence in myself and during a first dinner, I was never ashamed to ask the girl to cut my meat for me”.

I also need help making and undoing shirt buttons, which quickly establishes a form of intimacy.

Very comfortable with the difficulties that can accompany his disability, Théo Curin has no trouble talking about it openly and he has even found several advantages in it. “I also need help with buttoning and undoing shirts, which quickly establishes a form of intimacy. It adds cute things in the life of a couple. Honestly, it’s always been fluid with the girls.”, he explains. If he does not seem to have formalized a relationship for the moment, he ensures that his disability has never played a major role in his stories of the heart. “My stories never ended because of this, I have never been raked for that”assures the swimmer, before concluding by evoking the future: “In a few years I can see myself starting a family, having two or three children”.

The interview with Théo Curin can be found in the latest issue of Here.
