Sourcers of flavors – Program on France Bleu

They are now called “sourcers”, a nice neologism to designate the quest for the best product, the purest origin, the closest source, French in any case.

Their job: to travel the French terroirs to unearth the rare pearl. They are cheese makers, butchers, grocers, chefs, bakers, delicatessens, canners…

Their quest is absolutely fascinating because they perfectly master all the stages of cultivation, production, conservation and/or transformation of their favorite products.

Their objective is to offer the consumer the best possible taste experience by promoting local production and short circuits as much as possible.

These men and women who go to the source, often have atypical paths: they have changed their lives, or are pursuing a family history.
