The 20-year-old man arrested for assaulting his mother in an apartment in Beauport allegedly suffocated her in addition to threatening her with death, according to the indictment filed against him yesterday. He is also said to have assaulted her on at least two other occasions this week.
Dylan Lagueux appeared by video conference on Sunday morning, from Victoria Police Station.

The 20-year-old faces five counts of assault, including one of aggravated assault, on his mother.

According to court documents, Saturday’s event would have ” [mis] in danger [la] life ”of his victim, because the accused would have suffocated her.
At that time, he also allegedly threatened her with death.
We learn, in the indictment, that two other counts of assault are filed against Lagueux, for events dating back to November 9 and 11.
His mother, in her forties, is the same victim in these cases.
Antecedents
To these charges are added five counts of non-compliance with conditions relating to various cases.
This is not a first for Lagueux, who was charged with threats, harassment, break and enter and assault in 2019.
Her mother was protected by a contact ban and a home ban in connection with these cases.
Dylan Lagueux also had to observe good behavior and not disturb the order.
His case was postponed until Wednesday.
No serious injuries
Recall that the SPVQ was called to go to the home, located rue Vallée, in the Beauport borough, on the night of Friday to Saturday.
The victim was taken care of by paramedics, but she did not suffer serious injuries, authorities said.
