Shots were fired near Gabrielle-Roy Elementary School in Montreal around 6 p.m. Thursday night. However, there were no injuries, according to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

Emergency services received a call around 6 p.m. Thursday for shots fired at the intersection of Belcourt and Honoré Mercier streets, in the borough of Saint-Léonard.
“Once on the scene, the police located bullet casings and a bullet hole in a window of a house,” said SPVM agent Gabriella Youakim.
Investigators and a dog handler were dispatched to the scene, but no suspects had been arrested at the time of publication of this text.
