Organic blueberries made in Haute Saône

Philippe is a happy producer! he bet on the organic cultivation of blueberries in his plots of Francchevelle in Haute Saône. Customers flock to harvest the precious little berry themselves from the beginning of July! 13 varieties of blueberries called blueberries in Canada or bluets grow there. The blueberry tree does not like dry weather and the last rainy summer was a blessing for the plantation, which was able to recover its health! The plantation therefore benefits from 32 km of drip irrigation to save money. water all conducted in organic farming.

The production is 40 tons per year. 20 tonnes picked up by 30 seasonal workers and marketed and 20 tonnes picked up by customers. Part of the production is transformed by Annemieke into jam, mash, coulis, compote, syrup, juice, nectar and vinegar. Philippe also had fun creating a breeding of highland cows, a very robust Scottish breed. He has 12 mothers. He sells 8 to 10 young per year as pets. And he also produces some meat which is sold in boxes of 10kg.
