the president of the Modem François Bayrou comes to the Dordogne to support Jean-Pierre Cubertafon

The president of the Modem, François Bayrou, is coming to the Dordogne this Wednesday, June 15 to come and support the candidacy of the outgoing deputy of the presidential majority Jean-Pierre Cubertafon, in the third constituency of the department, the Nontronnais. He will meet the inhabitants of the city between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.first in the Dolmen room, then in the streets of the town.

The outgoing MP came second on Sunday evening in the first round with 23.37%, just behind the NUPES candidate Cyril Girardeau who obtained 23.68% of the vote and ahead of Florence Joubert, the RN candidate who collected 22, 4% of the vote and is maintained in the second round. It will be one of the eight constituencies in France in which there will be a triangular.

Jean-Pierre Cubertafon receives the support of Guillaume Gardillou

Jean-Pierre Cubertafon will give a public meeting the following day, Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in Brantôme, in the Salle du Dolmen. The majority candidate claims to be today in a dynamic of “gathering”. He has received this Tuesday the support of Guillaume Gardillou, candidate without label which received 6.07% of the vote in the first round.

Guillaume Gardillou presented himself during the campaign as a supporter of the presidential majority, without ever having been invested by any of the parties that make it up. He had even been expelled from Renaissance (Ex-La République en Marche) for this. This Tuesday, June 14, in a tweet, he announces: “I call to vote for Jean-Pierre Cubertafon”. The two men met the day before.

On the evening of the first round, the outgoing deputy had accused him of having prevented him from finishing in the lead by siphoning off part of the votes: “If I add the votes of Mr. Gardillou who presents himself as a candidate for the majority, I get closer to the 30% that I had achieved in 2017”said Jean-Pierre Cubertafon on France Blue Perigord.
