I haven’t had a TV for seven or eight years, but I read the newspapers. We are going in circles and we are very happy about it. However, happiness is elsewhere, life is elsewhere.
Let’s go out. Let’s see life, real life. In our cities, as soon as you set foot on the sidewalk, you hear house sparrows sing. It is raining. A little further, the tadpoles of the wood frog are happy; the sun will not be able to quickly drink the water from the pond this year, which will allow the tails of the pan to get by.
Take a look at the pine siskin in your area. It has long been called “pine goldfinch”. This bird is a clever one; he always looks like someone who has it easy. And for more than 200 years, it has demolished the discourse of ornithologists; so much so that several authors of identification books in North America have avoided mentioning it.
And then, since the second week of June, we have been in the time of the skippers, a small butterfly with big eyes. This year, among them, like last year, the most common is the chessboard.
And did you notice the cedar waxwing, cousin of the bohemian waxwing, come in? The common yellowthroat too?
The list could be very long. Life is Elsewhere.
Let’s stop locking ourselves into repetitive speeches.
