Legislative in Val-d’Oise: François Pupponi in difficulty

In the Val-d’Oise, it is almost a full house for the NUPES which comes first in nine of the ten constituencies this Sunday in the first round of the legislative elections. The blow is tough for the presidential party which won the ten seats in 2017.

Three incumbents eliminated

In the first district, Antoine Savignat is eliminated. Zivka Park will not be in the second round either, she obtains only 20.05% of the vote in the ninth constituency.

In the 1st constituency, the only one held by an LR deputy since a partial legislative in 2018, Antoine Savignat was eliminated in the first round, arriving in fourth position. Leïla Ivorra (Nupes) and Emilie Chandler (Ensemble!) will compete for the seat on June 19.

Former Secretary of State MoDem Nathalie Elimas, targeted by an investigation for moral harassment, had been dismissed by the presidential majority. Estelle Folest had been invested for the 6th district. Nathalie Elimas had however presented herself as a dissident MoDem candidate. She came in fifth position, far behind Gabrielle Cathala (Nupes, 29.84%) and Estelle Folest (22.25%).

François Pupponi in difficulty

The local heavyweight, outgoing deputy, socialist mayor of Sarcelles for 20 years, Francois Pupponi, invested by Ensemble!, is not certain of obtaining a fourth mandate. He is quite far (24.42%) behind the Nupes candidate Carlos Martens Bilongo (37.14%) in the 8th constituency.

The outgoing MP Aurelien Tacheelected with the LREM label in 2017 but invested for this election by Nupes, is in favorable ballot for the second round in the tenth constituency.

Conversely, the outgoing MP Naima Moutchou, close to Edouard Philippe and invested by the coalition Ensemble! in the 4th constituency, comes second with 29.03% of the vote behind the candidate Nupes Karine Lacouture.

The LR deputy eliminated, an RN candidate in the second round

In the first constituency, the only one held by an LR deputy since a partial legislative in 2018, Antoine Savignat is eliminated in the first round, arriving in fourth position. Leïla Ivorra (Nupes) and Emilie Chandler (Ensemble!) will compete for the seat on June 19.

The far right only made it to the second round in one constituency, the ninth with Jean-Baptiste Marlyarrived behind the candidate of the Nupes Arnaud Le Gall.
