Amal Bentounsi from the collective “Emergency our police murder” announced this Thursday the organization of a demonstration, Saturday, Place de la République in Paris.
He held a press conference this Thursday with the driver’s lawyer who refused to comply last Saturday in Paris and who was injured by police fire who killed one of his passengers.
With this demonstration, he wants protest against the legislation which regulates the use of weapons by the police.
A week after the death of the front passenger of the vehicle, the collective intends to denounce article 435-1 of the internal security code which, since the Public Safety Act 2017 allows police to shoot at a vehicle when a driver does not comply and when it is likely to harm their life or that of others.
