In just under a month, Diam’s will land at the cinema for two exceptional days. Indeed, his documentary Hello in collaboration with BrutX will be unveiled to the general public. Moreover, the former rapper had explained about this media return. Just before the screening of this film at the Cannes Film Festivalshe had given her first filmed interview in more than ten years.
The opportunity for her to come back to the story of the stolen photos and the impact it had on her relationship with her audience. “And I actually think that what made me sad, because there is anger, like the fact that someone stole something intimate from my life, but that’s manageable. But there is above all… me, it was really in relation to the people who loved me… I knew that they were going to break the love that there was between me and the public… That’s really what hurt” confided Diam’s very moved.
During this interview, the BFF of Vitaa also spoke about her opinion on current rap and said without filters: “Frankly, I am, not disinterested but almost, of all that. It’s complicated because my report is really linked to writing. For me, it was really writing and the pen. Much more than the music itself. So that’s not what interests me… here it is”.
As a reminder, this documentary was created to allow Diam’s to deliver its own truth about its descent into hell. Indeed, behind the rhinestones and sequins, there were also hard knocks which she is best placed to talk about. Thus, it is to avoid that we speak in his place or that we adapt this into a biopic that the mother of the family came out of her silence.
However, even before knowing what it will give in dark rooms, one thing is certain: this interview is a hit. And for good reason, the video has exceeded three million and is one of the seven most viewed videos on the Youtube channel. This confirms its still strong popularity rate
