It was a bit of his trademark: a bow tie every time on the air, with a legendary sense of pedagogy. Jean-Daniel Flaysakier, who died Monday, October 11, has been the Health Mister of France 2 for years. Telematin spectators from 1985 to 1991 remember his benevolent presence on the set. Despite his recurring activities in journalism, Jean-Daniel was above all a doctor who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Tours. Volunteer and always wishing to help his neighbor, he had gone to Africa to vaccinate as many people as possible against hepatitis B. The latter had not been on the screen since 2018, but Jean-Daniel never left medicine, working in the Gustave-Roussi institute in Villejuif, with women suffering from breast cancer. A caregiver whose thirst for knowledge was inexhaustible commensurate with his enormous talent.
