The life of Pauline Deroulede rocked in October 2018, when she was in a street in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. The 27-year-old young woman at the time quietly waits for a friend, sitting on her scooter, when she is hit head-on by a motorist 92 year old who lost control of his vehicle. Taken to the Percy military hospital, the young woman emerges a few hours later with her left leg amputated. Long months of rehabilitation followed, with one goal in mind, to participate in the Paralympic Games. “In my head, I only had one goal, the Olympics. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have lasted”she says in an interview for Release.
Almost three years later, Pauline Déroulède continues to believe in her dream of participating in the next Olympic Games to be held in Paris in two years. If she was able to take control of her life professionally and sportingly as a wheelchair tennis athlete, this is also the case in her private life. On the heart side, the beautiful blonde with blue eyes is in a relationship with a certain Typhaine. Journalist, the young woman is in a PACS with the tennis player.
