Extension metro line 12 had been expected for years. This time, it’s done. This Tuesday at noon, two new stations, Aimé Césaire and Mairie d’Aubervilliers opened and were inaugurated with great fanfare. There was a crowd at the town hall of Aubervilliers this afternoon for this opening of the station eagerly awaited by the inhabitants.

The station “Aimé Césaire” is located at the corner of avenue Victor Hugo and boulevard Félix Faure, not far from the Saint-Denis canal.
The second, the station “Town hall of Aubervilliers“Serves downtown Aubervilliers and its market square.
The extension of line 12 was included in the 2007-2013 State-Region plan contract. the project was started more than 10 years ago with work that began in 2012.

Close to 40 thousand additional passengers are expected on this metro line 12.
From now on, line 12 allows users to connect downtown Aubervilliers to Saint-Lazare in 20 minutes.
With these two new stations, line 12 is 17 kilometers long. It serves 31 stations. It is connected to 9 metro lines, three tram lines and two RER lines.
