When they arrived on the scene, SPVM police officers observed firearm projectile impacts on a building with two residences and found several shell casings on the ground.

A few hours after the events, the police had not yet located any eyewitnesses to what had happened; no one had been arrested.

The SPVM reports that the occupants of the residential building are not known to the police. They were met by police officers.

The investigation has so far been unable to establish whether the building was indeed targeted by the shots or whether it was hit by projectiles fired in the vicinity.

The police will try to find out if there are surveillance cameras in the area that were able to capture images that would allow them to learn more about what happened.
