Quebec reports Tuesday three new deaths attributed to COVID-19 as well as a slight increase in hospitalizations.
There are now 1351 hospitalizations, an increase of four compared to Monday. There are 47 people in intensive care, down from nine.
A total of 4,014 health care workers are absent for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal or isolation.
The death toll now stands at 15,357.
The Ministry of Health reports 417 new cases, for a total of 1,062,452 since the start of the pandemic. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
A total of 211,157 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 173,045 positives. For the day on Monday, 219 tests were declared, including 183 positive.
The Ministry of Health says it carried out 8,212 tests on Monday and a positivity rate of 5.5%.
In terms of vaccination, 2535 doses administered are added, ie 2301 in the last 24 hours and 234 before May 23.
Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 55% received a third dose and 13% received a fourth dose. Among those aged 60 and over, 41% received a fourth dose.
