Quebec reports Tuesday 14 new deaths as well as an increase in hospitalizations.
There are currently 1634 hospitalizations, an increase of 23 compared to Monday. Fifty-four people are in intensive care, an increase of three.
A total of 5,350 health care workers are absent for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal or isolation.
The death toll reaches 15,298.
The Ministry of Health reports 625 new cases, for a total of 1,058,691 since the start of the pandemic. The number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
A total of 208,849 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 171,091 positives. For the day on Monday, 189 tests were declared, including 154 positive.
The Ministry of Health indicates that 9166 analyzes were carried out on Monday and that the positivity rate is 6.4%.
As for vaccination, 8889 doses were administered in the last 24 hours in Quebec.
Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 55% received a third dose and 13% received a fourth dose. Among those aged 60 and over, 39% received a fourth dose.
