The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) plans to continue its search aboard a boat on the river on Tuesday.

Monday, at the end of the day, the command post which had been established near the bridge on rue Rolland, where the incident occurred, was lifted, said SQ spokesman Stéphane Tremblay.

Already, divers had been dispatched to the scene last week. During the day on Friday, the Sûreté du Québec also used its helicopter and a drone over the places deemed the most dangerous.

The tragedy occurred around 12:30 p.m. Thursday when a group of four people allegedly found themselves under the Rolland Street bridge on the rocky surface in good weather, where the current is extremely strong at this time- this year. The teenager would have slipped before falling into the river.

The search has been ongoing since Thursday afternoon.
