The new mayor of Quebec, Bruno Marchand, has chosen the businessman and PQ activist Clément Laberge as chief of staff, learned The duty.
Well-known entrepreneur of the digital economy, Mr. Laberge founded the firm Opossum in the early 2000s. He has served on a large number of boards of directors in the cultural sector of the capital.
A long-time PQ activist, he was also a candidate for the Parti Québécois in the riding of Jean-Talon in Quebec City during the 2015 partial.
Mr. Laberge will be assisted in the cabinet by Bruno-Pierre Cyr, who was Jean-François Lisée’s press secretary during the 2018 election campaign. Mr. Cyr played a key role in the creation of the Québec Forte et Fière party and the last municipal campaign.
