The Titan bounces brilliantly

With their backs to the wall, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan reacted in the best possible way and pulverized the Halifax Mooseheads 8 to 1, Monday night, at the Scotiabank Centre.

Head coach Mario Durocher’s squad are now trailing 2-1 in their first-round Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) series.

In today’s game, Montreal Canadiens prospect Riley Kidney shone with a goal and three assists.

Jacob Melanson, Bennett MacArthur and Hendrix Lapierre each had three points. Zach Biggar was not left out with two successes.

In the Titan net, Jan Bednar stopped 27 of the Mooseheads’ 28 shots. The 19-year-old goaltender was only thwarted by Elliot Desnoyers, who was awarded a penalty shot in the second period.

In short

At Center Avenir, the Charlottetown Islanders completed the sweep by winning 5-0 in Game 3 of their series against the Moncton Wildcats. Goalkeeper Francesco Lapenna only needed to make 13 saves to sign the shutout.
