The Toulouse theaters switch to Ukrainian time. A concert is organized this Thursday, May 5 at the Metronum. Oleg Skripka, star in his country, was notably present. They are about thirty artists and begin a European tour in order to raise funds to help the Ukrainian citizens who remained in their country at war as well as the refugees.
Another event, this Sunday, May 8 with a Ukrainian ballet troupe: the kyiv City Ballet. This troupe was initially hosted in France by the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris and has also embarked on a European tour.

The director of kyiv City Ballet, Katia Koslova, is grateful to the world of culture in Toulouse, France and Europe for their help during this war. “In these difficult times for us, we can continue our art thanks to solidarity. We feel very lucky to have received so much support. We believe that sharing our art and our dances brings hope and we want to bring hope and light in this world”
During the show at the Halle aux grains, excerpts from ballets will be offered: Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Paquita, The Corsair, as well as specifically Ukrainian pieces.
This troupe is unique, it is there that the great Ukrainian dancers make their classes. The kyiv City Ballet is quite simply the future great peaks of Ukrainian dance underlines Kader Belarbi the artistic director of the Ballet du Capitole: “It’s a ballet of juniors, that is to say that it’s a ballet of apprentices who present completely classic works, which are very, very heard and very recognized.”
Proceeds from the evening will be donated to Médecins du Monde, which works with victims of the war in Ukraine and refugees.
