He calls on all Périgourdins who have animals in their farmyard to respect the rules of confinement and protection of poultry, to curb the spread of the epizootic.

“You have to understand that if they don’t take precautions, by putting a net or putting their animals in a building, they take the risk of spreading the virus. It’s a call for everyone’s responsibility”recalls the prefect, who threatens: “For individuals who still have not understood, the gendarmerie will be there to verbalize, but there is still time to act in solidarity with our breeders”.

Failure to comply with the rules may result in a call to the law at first, then a fine of 750 euros for individualss. For the moment in the Dordogne, several individuals have been the subject of legal warnings according to the gendarmerie, but none have yet received a fine.
