“Well done for your face!”, “You’re fucked”, “Go back”, the L214 association posted a new video of animal abuse. The images were shot in the research and innovation center of Denkavit, the French number 2 for veal, in Montreuil-Bellay, in Maine-et-Loire.
Serious Abuse Complaint
Employees are using old-fashioned ways to deal with calves intended to be slaughtered for butchery, “some suffer violence from company employees who use force to manipulate them: kicks, punches and sticks, projections” explains, in a press release, the association.
L214 specifies, moreover, that “These young animals arrive during the 2 weeks following their birth. They remain locked in tiny individual cages with concrete floors and no litter, no water available, fed and watered twice a day, until they are 8 weeks old. They are then placed in groups, still in these buildings, until they are slaughtered at around 6 months.
A complaint of ill-treatment and serious abuse was filed with the public prosecutor of the Saumur judicial court. Requested, the Denkavit group has not yet responded to our requests for additional information on this matter.
