The music video follows a Ukrainian family trying to survive as their country is overrun by Russian soldiers.

“The idea to make this video came from discussions with our friend and director Jensen Noen. We were able to feel how important and personal the events in Ukraine were for him and it is from there that the concept of the video emerged, ”explains the Quebec group, in a press release.

The actors and actresses that we see in the clip signed Jensen Noen, as well as the entire technical team, are from Ukraine.

All monies generated from YouTube views will be donated to the UNICEF Ukraine Emergency Fund. The group is also committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from tickets sold as part of its current tour to the cause, thanks to its own foundation, the Simple Plan Foundation.

wake me up (When This Nightmare’s Over) is the third single from the album Harder Than It Looks, which will be released on May 6. This is Simple Plan’s sixth installment.
