Regarding the appeals of several candidates eliminated in the first round to vote for Emmanuel Macron in the second round of the presidential election, “I can only rejoice and thank all those who have kept the republican reflex that we cannot consider for a single moment facilitating access to power for the far right”assures Richard Ferrand.
For Louis Aliot, the RN must speak to all those who did not vote Macron
Marine Le Pen “is in a position to win”, for his part, said Louis Aliot, mayor National Rally (RN) of Perpignan, on franceinfo. According to him, “one must be completely sensitive to progress of the candidate of her presidential party, compared to 2017. After the first round on Sunday, she indeed collected between 23 and 24% of the vote, against 21.30% in 2017.
“I think we have to talk to the voters, to all those who voted for Éric Zemmour, for Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, for Jean Lassalle and all those who did not come to vote in this first round”he said, as the second round looms. “There are people on the right, but also people on the left who don’t want to see Emmanuel Macron at the Elysée, you have to talk to these people”he insisted.
